Sulfur is a yellow mineral, archaically known as brimstone, that has a very strong characteristic scent. Sulfur symbolizes one of the primary elements in alchemy along with mercury and salt. It was burned in the past to exorcize demons and negative spirits from a space, however, the products of burning sulfur are hazardous to humans and animals when inhaled, so it is not recommended to burn sulfur in a closed space. Sulfur can be safely added to sachets, spell bottles, or powders. It is often used in hotfoot powder and war water formulations.
Disclaimer: Use sulfur with caution. It is recommended that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before working with or ingesting it, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
