Chicory is a plant in the daisy family with pale blue flowers. Though it is commonly known as a roadside weed now, chicory has a history of use and cultivation that stretches back to Ancient Egypt. Its leaves are used as a salad green and roots are roasted and used as a coffee substitute or additive.
Chicory can be used magically to open paths and remove obstacles. In addition to practical obstacles, it removes blockages and opens up communication with spirits and ancestors. Chicory can also be added to abundance spells to help you use your wealth wisely. You can use chicory root in a sachet, bath, or add it to a tea blend.
