Thyme is an aromatic evergreen shrub, indigenous to the Mediterranean, that has many spiritual, culinary, and traditional medicinal uses. Thyme was an important plant for purifying fumigation in ancient Greece and is an excellent plant to burn as incense when clearing a space before ritual or cleansing negative energies from a room. It can also be put into a pillow to encourage good sleep and prevent nightmares. Thyme invokes courage, so wearing it in a sachet can bring you the strength to tackle difficult situations. In addition to using thyme in incense and sachets, it can also be added to teas and baths.
