Catnip is an herbaceous perennial plant in the mint family that grows all over the world. It is most well-known for getting cats high! About two-thirds of domestic cats display euphoric effects for 5-15 minutes when given catnip (if your cat doesn’t respond to catnip, you can always try our valerian root!). Because of this effect, it is a great herb to use when bonding with a cat or aligning yourself with feline spirits or energy. Besides its use with cats, it is a very calming herb to use in a tea, especially tea meant to draw beauty and happiness into your life. Catnip can also be used in sachets, dream pillows, or incense in spells for attracting love. Be mindful using catnip in spells when you have a cat, however–incense may overwhelm your cat, and they may try to rip apart your sachets to get at it!
