Tumbled Larvikite #L2

Larvikite's name originates from the Larvik Fjord region in Norway, which is where this type of igneous rock is most commonly found.

It is often mistaken for Black Moonstone or Labradorite because they are all part of the feldspar family. Larvikite's unique shine is known as adularescence, or more commonly “schiller effect” which is caused by small inclusions in the stone that reflect and refract light.

Larvikite can aid in calming nerves and concentration as well as patience and keeping a level head when making difficult decisions. Not only is Larvikite a great stone for grounding and protection, it can also help to stimulate inner visions and enhance psychic abilities.

Larvikite can help to channel and unlock energies of the Third Eye and Root chakras, which govern intuition and foundation respectively.
