This altar cloth design is inspired by the Summer Solstice, one of 2 Solstices (Winter Solstice being the second) that mark the halfway points of the pagan year.

The Summer Solstice takes place on June 21st each year. The cloth can be used for tarot card spreads, to adorn your altar, and can be easily hung on a wall as a tapestry.

Featuring an original illustration by Irene Mudd, this altar cloth features a printed cotton fabric front with a lined backside*, and machine stitched with eye-catching metallic blue thread.

*I use fabric I have on hand to back each altar cloth, so some backing fabric may vary from what is pictured.*

Also referred to as Litha or Midsummer, the Summer Solstice takes place on June 21st each year in the Northern Hemisphere. This fire sabbat celebrates the beginning of summer, and, similar to Beltane, is considered a fortuitous time for weddings and unions of all kinds, especially friendships. Festivities included bonfires, dancing, and feasting outside in the warmth of the sun’s rays.

Dimensions: 19.5x19”
